One-stop border posts could shorten queues and simplify travel as SADC modernises borders, digital systems and regional trade.

Image: Facebook Cross-border journeys can turn into hours of waiting when two countries repeat the same checks, but one-stop border posts (OSBP) could change that for Southern African travellers and businesses in future.
SADC is now pushing to speed up the establishment of these facilities. President Cyril Ramaphosa made the call after the 46th SADC Summit in Durban on August 17. He said trucks should not spend days waiting at borders.
