One person was killed, and four others were injured after an oxygen cylinder exploded near a community hall in Okhla Phase I on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) morning.
The fire department received a call about the blast around 10:47 a.m., after which emergency teams were rushed to the site near the Community Hall in Okhla Phase I.
According to officials, one person died at the spot while four others sustained injuries. The injured were moved to a nearby hospital by Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) ambulances.
A Delhi Fire Services team comprising three water tenders, one water bowser and a motorised combination fire rescue vehicle was deployed at the site.
