A woman has died after being stabbed in west London, while another remains in hospital and a man has been arrested.

The Metropolitan Police and paramedics were called to Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush at about 08:20 BST where they found three people with injuries.

A 52-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 32-year-old woman, who also suffered stab wounds, remains in hospital. Her condition is not yet known.

A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, the Met said. He was taken to hospital before being discharged into police custody.
