One dead, 15 missing after Grand Canyon flash flood
A flash flood in the Grand Canyon has resulted in one death and left approximately 15 people missing. Emergency crews are conducting evacuations as the park service works to account for all hikers and campers in the affected area.

One person has died and about 15 people are missing after a flash flood in the Grand Canyon, the US National Park Service says.
About 1 to 2.5 centimetres of rain fell within 30 minutes in an area with a steep drop in elevation, creating a torrent of water.
Sixty-two people have been evacuated while others await evacuation, as large parts of the park remain closed.
