One crore bangles adorned Ganapati to mark Chavithi festivities this year in Vizag

Organizers in Visakhapatnam are preparing a unique Ganapati idol adorned with one crore bangles for the upcoming Vinayaka Chavithi festival. This initiative continues a local tradition of creating innovative, large-scale religious displays.
Why it matters
Large-scale religious festivals are significant cultural and economic drivers in Indian cities, often involving community-led artistic projects.
Visakhapatnam-based SV Entertainments has announced that it will install a specially designed Maha Ganapathi idol adorned with one crore bangles, under the theme ‘Sri Divya Kankana Alankara Maha Ganapathi,’ for the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations beginning on September 14. The idol will be erected at Sri Nagar in Gajuwaka.
Mr. Ganesh from the SV Entertainments said that the concept symbolises devotion, prosperity and the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The idol, decorated entirely with colourful bangles, is expected to become one of the major attractions of this year’s festival in the city.
