Onam Week celebrations: Forest dept., ISRO among winners

The Tourism department has announced the winners of various events of the ‘Onam Tourism Week 2026’ celebrations, including the cultural procession that marked the finale of the festival.
Among State government departments that featured floats in the cultural procession, the Kerala Forest and Wildlife department emerged victorious, followed by the Excise department. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) won the first prize followed by Southern Railway among the Central government institutions.
Among public-sector institutions, the Livestock Development Board secured the top position. The second prize was shared by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) and the National Ayurveda Mission. While the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation emerged victorious in the local self-government institutions category, the Thiruvananthapuram District Panchayat secured the second prize. NABARD emerged as the winner in the banking sector, while Krupalayam Old-Age Home was given a consolation prize.
