On this section of Ashok Nagar, Metro water ‘trickles in’
Residents of LGGS Colony in Ashok Nagar are facing persistent water supply issues, with many households receiving little to no Metro water for weeks. Despite lodging complaints, residents report that official interventions have failed to provide a lasting solution, forcing them to rely on expensive private tankers.

For the past two months, residents of 20th Street at LGGS Colony in Ashok Nagar and surrounding streets have been receiving Metro Water supply irregularly.
Over the last month, the situation worsened considerably, with several streets in the locality receiving no Metro water supply whatsoever. In the last few days, there has been a slight improvement, but the supply is still noticeably below par. From the flow in the taps, one can sense low pressure in the pipelines. On July 31 and August 1, one noticed some activity on the ground, workers employed by CMWSSB digging a trench, as indicated by the photo. As this issue has dragged on for a considerable period of time, we are still registering our grievance, seeking that CMWSSB shore up and expedite whatever remedial work it might have started in the neighbourhood.
