Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught in-charge Revenue Inspector (RI) of Ongole Municipal Corporation (OMC), S. Venkata Narendra, while he was allegedly taking ₹15,000 bribe.
According to the ACB officials, the Revenue Inspector allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe on Tuesday (August 19) for processing a file and providing an official favour to the complainant.
The accused was earlier booked in a Disproportionate Assets case and is facing trial. Investigation is under way, the investigating officials said.
