NEW DELHI: Amid buzz that govt may revive the women's reservation bill for early implementation with delimitation, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Monday called 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies a "historic need", saying it would open new avenues for women in political leadership."One-third reservation for women will open new avenues for women in political leadership," he said at an event hosted by National Commission for Women.
