Olivia Rodrigo has bounced between pop and rock since the first songs she released, and much of her output can be classified under either genre label. Her first full-length, Sour , which introduced her to the world more than half a decade ago, certainly had rocking moments. But in many ways – at least according to both Billboard and the Recording Academy – the full-length was a pop record through and through.
