Oldest quasars ever discovered add to 'perplexing' space mystery

Astronomers using the European Space Agency's Euclid telescope have discovered 31 ancient quasars, including the two oldest ever observed. These findings challenge current models of the early universe by revealing supermassive black holes existing much earlier than previously thought.
