Ojeda set a session-best 1:17.1422s as the chequered flag flew on the half-hour session.

Tickford Racing duo Cameron Waters and Thomas Randle were second and third respectively.

Waters logged a 1:17.2084s in the #6 Monster Mustang to be 0.0662s off the pace while Randle did a 1:17.2139s in the #55 Castrol Mustang and 0.0717s away from the top time.

Ojeda confirmed he ran a new tyre at the end of the session.

“It’s always nice when the car can roll out of the truck good,” said Ojeda.

“Obviously some tyres at the end helped but I think it was genuinely a pretty good session for us considering where we were at QR.

“Looking forward to putting D-Russ (David Russell) in the car now and getting his advice of where the car should be with his experience and everything before Practice 3 later today.”
