Special Chief Secretary M.T. Krishna Babu and other senior officials directed GMR group representatives to complete all pending works as early as possible, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Bhogapuram international airport on August 1, 2026. Along with Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and Joint Collector S. Sedhu Madhavan, he inspected the pending works at the airport premises on Friday (July 24, 2026).
According to sources, the State government is taking steps on a war footing to complete pending works on the approach road and others. As only one week is left for the Prime Minister’s visit , the government is keen to have everything in order within a couple of days.
