Nvidia's next moat is something chip rivals can't copy: its giant pile of money
Nvidia is leveraging its massive cash reserves to secure its dominance in the AI hardware market. By financing AI infrastructure and backing specialized cloud providers, the company is creating a financial moat that competitors struggle to replicate.
Why it matters
Nvidia's financial strategy is shaping the physical infrastructure of the global AI industry, potentially creating a long-term monopoly on AI compute resources.

Rabii spent years leading custom silicon inside Google and Meta before launching his own AI hardware startup. When Rabii considers Nvidia's biggest competitive advantage , he doesn't point to its brilliant engineers, leading technology, or well-established sales channels. "Where they're kind of unmatched is in the giant bag of cash they're sitting on top of," Rabii said.
