The number of persons from Karnataka reported missing or stranded in Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) following flash floods rose to 24 on Friday (August 28, 2026), according to the latest update from the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC).
As of 11 a.m. on Friday, the SEOC had collated details of 24 persons from Karnataka who are stranded or missing in the two affected regions. Of them, 20 are from Bengaluru Urban, two from Mysuru, and one each from Dharwad and Udupi. Most are reported to be in Timure in Nepal’s Rasuwa district, while a few are in Darchen in the TAR.
