Questions are being asked as to why Dane Gagai didn't spend time in the sin-bin for appearing to 'punch' Latrell Mitchell in the Knights' win over the Rabbitohs in the first NRL elimination final. Newcastle caused a boilover to knock Souths out of the finals with a 20-10 victory at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.
However the result was marred by controversy after a number of calls went against Souths. They were denied a try to Jayden Sullivan in the second half when Alex Johnston was deemed to have knocked-on, before Dom Young got away with appearing to step on the sideline for a contentious four-pointer.
