Novak Djokovic kept his 17-year-long undefeated streak at the China Open intact after completing a comeback victory against home hope Yunchaokete Bu.
After going down a set, Djokovic rallied to triumph in the second-set tiebreak before securing the decider fairly comfortably to advance to the quarterfinals, 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. The Serb is now 31-0 at the China Open, equaling Rafael Nadal's record at Roland Garros for the longest winning streak since a maiden match at a tournament.
With his victory, Djokovic has just matched Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors for an incredible all-time record.
Djokovic has now reached three quarterfinals in a season 21 times, having achieved the feat for the first time in 2006. Only Connors and Federer have done so as many times, with the next highest on the all-time list being Rafael Nadal and Richard Gasquet, both with 19.
