After two hours and 34 minutes in Beijing, Djokovic emerged victorious via a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 scoreline in his high-quality quarterfinal against Zverev . The Serbian is a six-time champion at the China Open, where he has never lost a singles match.
He now meets Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament, ahead of which Djokovic has provided an important update on his fitness.
Shortly after defeating the current French Open and US Open champion, 39-year-old Djokovic was questioned if he can enjoy the moment back in his hotel, or indeed if he needs to think about his next match already.
