Notices will be issued to nearly 93 lakh electors, CEO confirms
The Telangana Chief Electoral Officer announced that nearly 93 lakh voters will receive notices regarding discrepancies in their electoral registration. Over 73 lakh names have been deleted from the draft rolls due to reasons like shifting, death, or duplication.
Close to 93 lakh voters in Telangana who filled in their Enumeration Forms and returned them for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, will receive notices from the respective Electoral Registration Officers. A total of 73,39,235 names have been deleted from the rolls, bringing down the number of voters in the State to 2,64,87,213 as per the Draft Electoral Rolls published on Monday (August 17).
