Nothing to fear, says Riyas on ED request for anti-corruption case

Responding to the Enforcement Directorate’s request to the State Police Chief to launch an anti-corruption case against Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter T. Veena and her husband and Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] State secretariat member P.A. Mohamed Riyas in connection with the Exalogic-CMRL pay-off case, Mr. Riyas said he welcomed any inquiry “as nobody has done anything wrong.”
“There is nothing to fear, and the political interests behind the investigation have been pointed out earlier. Let there be inquiries at any level. The ED’s script was not bad at all, but we are confident of proving our innocence,” the former Minister told the media in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday (September 8, 2026).
