‘Not welcome here’ - Nikola Jokic goes off on Nuggets fans who booed during OT win over Pelicans

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic publicly criticized fans who booed the team during a comeback win against the New Orleans Pelicans. Jokic suggested that fans who do not support the team through deficits are not welcome at future games.
Why it matters
The comments highlight the growing tension between professional athletes and fan bases regarding expectations and support during early-season struggles.
The Denver Nuggets were on the verge of being blown out by the New Orleans Pelicans, and their fans were less than impressed with the effort they showed.
The Nuggets were down by 23 points at one point against the Pelicans, who are one of the weakest teams in the NBA.
And while Jokic helped the team rally and earn a comeback win against the Pelicans in overtime, the franchise superstar wasn't exactly happy with the way fans treated them during their comeback effort.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Nikola Jokic said he didn't appreciate the fans who booed them at the Ball Arena and that they shouldn't attend a future game.
He noted that the Nuggets have shown in the past that they are capable of coming back from large deficits, and that fans should have supported them more vocally rather than jeering them.
