Marking the largest ever single-home purchase in terms of deal size, Angel One founder Dinesh Thakkar has purchased a full residential tower in Mumbai.Dinesh Thakkar, founder and CMD of financial services and stockbroking company Angel One, will acquire an entire luxury residential tower in Mumbai's Juhu area from Embassy Developments for more than Rs 711 crore.According to a Bloomberg report, this is the most expensive known purchase of a single residential property in the country so far.The deal also highlights the sustained appetite for ultra-luxury homes in Mumbai's established premium residential locations.About the Rs 711 crore propertyAccording to a statement issued by developer Embassy Developments Ltd. and Thakkar on Tuesday, the eight-storey, sea-facing tower covers 63,000 square feet (5,853 square meters) in Mumbai's upscale Juhu neighbourhood.Thakkar, founder of one of India's largest retail stockbrokers, paid around $74.3 million for the property.
