North Vancouver mall behind tape after police-involved shooting

The suspect in a police-involved shooting at a shopping centre in North Vancouver on Tuesday has died from his injuries.
BC RCMP shared an update at 8 p.m., saying the suspect was taken to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Around 1:30 p.m., RCMP officers descended on the Westview Shopping Centre Mall on Westview Drive.
Witnesses told Global News that a suspect was seen holding a knife to a woman’s throat inside a McDonald’s when another man intervened.
Witness Arman Abadi said he went to McDonald’s to get an iced tea.
“I look up, as I’m waiting in line, I look and I notice a guy. He’s behind the counter on an employee,” he said.
