Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy on Wednesday (September 2) held public grievance meetings in Chikkyamagere, Kallur, Sanganal and Rajur villages of Yelburga Assembly constituency and interacted with residents, who shared their issues.

Speaking at the programmes organised by the Koppal district administration and the Yelburga and Kukanoor taluk panchayats, Mr. Rayaraddi said the welfare of people and the overall development of Yelburga constituency were his priorities.

He said a project for filling 24 lakes in the constituency had earlier been completed and that the tender process is completed for a ₹970-crore project to fill 34 more lakes in the Yelburga-Kukanoor region with water from the Krishna river. The works would begin shortly, he said.
