Normal life paralysed as heavy rains lash Kukke Subrahmanya
Heavy monsoon rains have caused severe flooding and infrastructure damage in the temple town of Kukke Subrahmanya. Local authorities are managing the aftermath, including landslips, road closures, and property damage to residential homes.

Heavy rains lashed temple town Kukke Subrahmanya in Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday paralysing normal life.
Kumaradhara and Darpana Tirtha rivers were in spate with flood water from Darpana Tirtha reaching compound wall steps of Aadi Subrahmanya temple.
The walls of a house collapsed near Kallapane after flood water entered the house. Upon learning about the matter, members of the Ravi Kakkapadavu Samaj Seva Trust reached the spot and started repairing the collapsed walls. Meanwhile, Subrahmanya Gram Panchayat Secretary Monappa visited the spot and inspected it. The Gram Panchayat and the Revenue Department officials assured of providing compensation to the house owner.
Landslips occurred at Malayala on the Subrahmanya-Sullia Road. Rainwater submerged Devaragadde Road in Subrahmanya, causing hardship to pedestrians and motorists.
