NoRKA to appoint legal consultants in seven countries to aid Malayalis
The Kerala government is expanding its Pravasi Legal Aid Cell by hiring legal consultants in seven countries to assist non-resident Keralites. The initiative aims to provide free legal advice and support to expatriates facing legal challenges abroad.

The State government will strengthen the NoRKA Roots Pravasi Legal Aid Cell (PLAC), which provides free legal advice to Keralites abroad, by appointing legal consultants in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Australia, Canada, and Malaysia.
A statement issued by NoRKA Roots, the field agency of the Department of Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NoRKA), said that PLAC has started accepting applications for the vacancies of legal consultants in these seven countries. Candidates interested in the welfare of expatriate Keralites with at least two years of work experience practising law in a foreign country are eligible to apply.
PLAC is a State government scheme implemented through NoRKA Roots to assist non-resident Keralites who find themselves in legal trouble due to ignorance of the law in foreign countries, involvement in minor crimes, or circumstances beyond their control.
