Nongjai Mohammed Ali Akram Shah, a 2020 batch IAS officer, took charge as the managing director (MD) of Mescom in Mangaluru on Wednesday.
Mr. Shah, 32, who holds a BTech degree from NIT Manipur, is a native of Manipur. He served as a probationary IAS officer in Dakshina Kannada between May 2021 and April 2022. He subsequently served as Assistant Commissioner in Pandavapura in Mandya district and Hospete in Vijayanagara district. From July 2024, he was serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Vijayanagara Zilla Panchayat before the State government transferred him as MD of Mescom.
