Nollywood actor, Ikechukwu Nweke, has cried out over his secret battle with colon cancer. The actor in an Instagram video titled, 'My Cancer Journey', on Friday, disclosed that he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2025 and has spent over N15 million on chemotherapy, radiotherapy, tests, scans and medications. While begging Nigerians for financial assistance, he appreciated his family and some of his colleagues like Uche Nancy, Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, Ebele Okaro and others who have been supporting. Sharing his account details for support, the actor said, "Good morning, good afternoon and good evening from wherever you are watching me from, I was diagnosed with colon cancer last year. I have been trying so hard to manage it privately. I have spent a lot of money and my family members have contributed a whole lot. People close to me like Destiny Etiko, Uche Nancy, Lizzy Gold, Ebele Okaro, among others have also been supportive. "Unfortunately, my battle is not over yet. My doctors have advised that I must continue with the next phase of my treatment to give me the best chance of a full recovery. I cannot afford to stop or skip this stage, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. "Today, I'm humbly asking for your help. No amount is too small. Your support, your prayers, and even sharing this video can make a real difference in my fight for life," he said. Watch the video
