No suitable director found: The State Chancellery announced a new competition with softer requirements
The Latvian State Chancellery has reopened the search for a new director after failing to find a suitable candidate in the first round. Requirements regarding education and managerial experience have been lowered to attract a broader pool of applicants.

The State Chancellery has once again begun the search for a director of the institution. After the first competition yielded no results, the requirements for candidates were significantly revised.
The most noticeable change concerns education. While a master's degree, preferably in law or management, was previously a mandatory condition, now a higher academic or professional education of the second level is sufficient. Holding a master's degree has become an advantage rather than a mandatory requirement.
The requirements for managerial experience have also been reduced. As before, the candidate must have at least five years of managerial work in the last ten years; however, now experience managing a team of 20 employees is enough instead of the previous 50.
