The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) officials announced on Monday (July 20, 2026) that no new cases of diarrhoea were reported in Giripuram, Vijayawada, on July 19-20, after 13 people fell sick between July 16 and 18.
According to information, while four were admitted to the hospital for treatment, one has been discharged and the others continue to receive treatment. They also reportedly have other health conditions. Since no new cases were reported on Monday, medical camps would be removed from Tuesday (July 21).
An official from the office of the District Medical and Health Officer, NTR district, said misinformation is circulating on social media platforms, and iterated that the reports are fake and that the situation is under control.
