The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has urged Nigerians to transcend parochial interests rooted in individual communities and states and identify concrete collaborative opportunities that would benefit the populace and advance national progress. He further exhorted Nigerians across all ethnic groups to engage in cooperative efforts within agriculture and food security, as well as to champion education, skill development and technological innovation. Kefas articulated this position in Abuja on Saturday during an assembly of the descendants of the ancient Kwararafa Kingdom, whom he noted constitute an estimated population of approximately 20 million individuals dispersed across more than 22 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory. He stated: “We have convened to reinforce our collective contributions toward the peace, unity and development of our nation. Nigeria confronts formidable challenges. Numerous communities experience the adverse effects of insecurity, poverty, unemployment, inadequate infrastructure, climate change and constrained economic opportunities.
