No changes in Perak assembly seating arrangements, says state Speaker

IPOH: There will be no changes to the seating arrangements in the Perak state legislative assembly following the recent political developments involving several Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia assemblymen.
Perak Speaker Datuk Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid said no application had been received to change the seating arrangements as of Tuesday (Sept 1).
“As of today, there has been no application to change the seating arrangements or seating areas,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday to announce the state assembly sitting next week.
Mohammad Zahir was responding to a question on whether there would be any changes to the Opposition seating following the recent political developments.
In June, four months after being sacked by Bersatu, Sungai Manik assemblyman Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharudin announced his entry into Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan).
