NIMS Hyderabad to offer free heart surgeries for children
NIMS Hyderabad is launching an annual program to provide free heart surgeries for children starting August 13, 2026. The initiative involves walk-in screenings and collaboration with international medical experts to treat pediatric cardiac conditions.

The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad will provide free heart surgeries for children as part of its annual social health programme.
Children requiring heart surgery can approach NIMS directly from August 13, 2026. Screening and consultations will be conducted on a walk-in basis, and no prior appointment is required. Priority will be given based on medical necessity. Following clinical evaluation and the required medical tests, children found to be in need of surgery will be provided the procedures free of cost.
Parents and guardians can visit the CT Surgery Office on the first floor of the Old Block at NIMS, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
