The match took place at Arena Sosnowiec. Nigeria’s first dangerous moment in the 17th minute was created by Janet Akekoromowei. The team later had several more opportunities: Kafayat Mafisere won a corner in the 33rd minute, while Akekoromowei came close to scoring in the 38th minute and in first-half stoppage time.
The Chinese team also had attempts before the break, through Huang Jiaxin, Zhou Xinyi and Song Lijuan. Nigeria goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma and the team’s defence kept a clean sheet, Premium Times Nigeria reports .
