NIA has not dropped UAPA probe against US citizen VanDyke and other accused: Report

NEW DELHI: National Investigation Agency has not dropped terror investigation against US national Matthew Aaron VanDyke and six Ukrainian nationals, news agency ANI reported citing sources.ANI reported that the central probing agency has investigating into offences under the UAPA against all the accused."NIA has filed a chargesheet under the Immigration and Foreigners Act (IFA) because those offences have already been fully established during the investigation till now," sources told ANI.This comes days after NIA filed a chargesheet against VanDyke in a case registered by the agency in March 2026. The case was initially registered under the UAPA.
