Welcome to the NHL Status Report. Here is the latest lineup/injury news around the NHL.
Chris Tanev is week to week for the Maple Leafs because of an upper-body injury. The defenseman was placed on injured reserve Monday, retroactive to Oct. 10. He was injured during a 6-3 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday and left the game at 11:08 of the first period. Tanev has one assist in six games this season and is tied for the team lead with 14 blocked shots. "Tanev is a good player, that's well-established, but we have other good players," Maple Leafs coach Jim Hiller said. "We just have to help them out."
