NHAI to conduct technical study for two RoBs at Kallumthazham

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will conduct a direct technical study for two railway overbridges at Kallumthazham to address traffic congestion. This decision follows discussions between local MP N.K. Premachandran and NHAI officials regarding the project's feasibility.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will directly conduct a technical study to evaluate the feasibility of constructing two railway overbridges (ROBs) and an approach road to resolve the severe traffic congestion at Kallumthazham, N.K. Premachandran, MP has said after discussions with NHAI chairperson Santosh Kumar Yadav.
Earlier, an expert committee from TKM College of Engineering was tasked with examining technical solutions for the gridlock at Kallumthazham junction. Based on their findings, a meeting chaired by the MP at Kollam Collectorate had decided that a consultancy should be appointed to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on constructing two railway overbridges and an approach road.
