NGCP issues red, yellow alerts for Visayas grid

MANILA, Philippines - The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) issued red and yellow alerts for the Visayas grid on Monday, August 24, as electricity demand is expected to be high while major power plants continue to be unavailable.In its 8 a.m. advisory, the transmission firm said that the red alert will be between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. while the yellow alert will be between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
