NFDC-NFAI acquires three films of actor Sivaji Ganesan

The NFDC–National Film Archive of India has acquired three classic Tamil films starring Sivaji Ganesan to ensure their preservation. These films, directed by A.P. Nagarajan, will be stored in the national collection to support digitisation and research.

The NFDC–National Film Archive of India (NFDC–NFAI), Pune, has received three 35 mm Tamil cinema classic films starring actor Sivaji Ganesan, all directed by A.P. Nagarajan.
Aparna Subramanian, Film Research Officer at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has acquired the three classics.
The films are T hiruvarutchelvar (1967), T hillana Mohanambal (1968) and T hiruvilayadal (1965), and have been acquired in the national collection, according to a press release.
