Next few days will be summery in Latvia

Latvia is experiencing a transition in weather, with sunny conditions early in the week giving way to more frequent rain and cooler temperatures. Meteorological autumn has already begun in parts of the country, with some regions recording double their average monthly rainfall.

Tuesday will be dry in Latvia, with sunny weather, although there will be showers in parts of Kurzeme in the evening. The minimum temperature early in the morning will be +9 to +14 C, whilst in the afternoon the air will warm up to +19 to +23 C. On Wednesday, there will be brief showers in many parts of western and central Latvia, with thunderstorms in some areas. Temperatures across most of the country will reach +17 to +22 C, whilst in eastern Vidzeme and Latgale they will reach +23 to +25 C. On Thursday, the rain will become more prolonged and widespread, with temperatures only reaching +15 to +19 C, although in the far east of the country they may still rise to +20 to +23 C. At the weekend, frequent rain is expected, along with gusty westerly and south-westerly winds.
