Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle has hailed new signing Nico Gonzalez as a "great addition" and vowed to continue pushing for further reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
Gonzalez has joined Newcastle in a £50m deal and the Magpies boss says the club's recruitment strategy is focused on players like the Spaniard.
"We want to continue our brave way, so not bringing in some guys who almost retire. No, no, this is not our approach," Jaissle said after his side's 3-2 Carabao Cup win over West Brom.
