Pragnell is New Zealand Football’s longest-serving CEO, joining the organisation in 2018 and helped to secure the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup, jointly hosted between Australia and Aotearoa.
The high-performance programme also changed under his watch and saw the men’s and women’s national teams play in every available Fifa window. The All Whites also qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 16 years, albeit the tournament was expanded to 48 teams and the Oceania confederation gained direct entry for the first time.
Pragnell said leading New Zealand Football was one of the greatest privileges of his career.
