New SP assures speedy action on public petitions in Sivaganga district
Sivaganga district's new Superintendent of Police, Abishek Gupta, has pledged to improve public grievance redressal through WhatsApp and enhanced surveillance. He emphasized the use of technology to coordinate police sub-divisions and increase CCTV coverage to ensure public safety.

Abishek Gupta, a 2019 batch IPS officer, has promised to take speedy action against petitions submitted by the public at the District Police Office.
Speaking to reporters, he said that all petitions would be acknowledged by the officers concerned. On receipt of the complaints, it would be sent by WhatsApp to the station house officers for necessary inquiry and action.
He said the public can call or WhatsApp on 83000 00400 and assured to take swift action. The sub-divisions in the district would further be strengthened by setting up control rooms. This would help in effective coordination and execute action at a faster pace.
