New Motor Vehicle Aggregator Policy aims to enhance passenger safety and transparency

A comprehensive Motor Vehicle Aggregator Policy for app-based aggregators will soon be rolled out, said Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
The policy, Mr Prabhakar said, intends to make transport tech-driven, and transport services passenger-friendly, safer, and more transparent.
He said that a committee which was constituted to study several aspects of aggregator-based transport services has completed extensive consultations with stakeholders. The committee is in its final stages of preparing its recommendations. The report is expected to be submitted to the government shortly.
