New Holocaust memorial unveiled in Liepāja
A new Holocaust memorial has been unveiled in Liepāja, Latvia, to commemorate the Jewish victims murdered at the site between 1941 and 1942. The memorial serves as a reminder of the mass shootings that occurred at the lighthouse and fish factory during the Nazi occupation.

On the evening of July 24th, the Liepāja Lighthouse Holocaust Memorial was officially opened. The memorial is dedicated to the Jews of Liepāja who were murdered nearby in 1941–1942 in some of the worst atrocities committed on Latvian soil.
