New Fire and Rescue Services station inaugurated at Shevapet
A new Fire and Rescue Services station and District Fire Officer's office were inaugurated in Shevapet, Tamil Nadu, by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. The facility, constructed by the Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation, features modern amenities and specialized rooms for emergency operations.

A new Fire and Rescue Services station and the District Fire Officer’s office, constructed at a cost of ₹6.08 crore at Shevapet, were inaugurated on Thursday (August 27, 2026).
Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay inaugurated the facilities through videoconferencing from the Secretariat in Chennai. The buildings were constructed by the Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation.
Transport Minister A. Vijay Tamilan Parthiban participated in the inaugural function and lit the traditional lamp. He later inspected the station’s operations, firefighting and rescue equipment, tools and fire tenders.
