Siva Krishnamurthy, a 2017 batch IAS officer, assumed office as Collector of Theni district on Saturday.

Prior to the new posting, he had served as TWAD Joint Managing Director, Erode Corporation Commissioner and Sub-Collector in Cheranmahadevi and Assistant Collector (Training) at Villupuram district.

In a brief interaction with media persons, Mr Siva Krishnamurthy thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay for having given him the opportunity to serve the public as Collector. The district administration would be accessible to meet people’s needs and to carry forward the government’s welfare programmes, he added.

Senior officers from multiple departments greeted the new Collector and briefed about the development works in progress in the district.
