Delhi Police have begun welding barricades at Jantar Mantar to prevent student protesters from advancing. The move follows a successful movement that led to the resignation of the education minister, with protesters threatening to resume if FIRs against students are not dropped.

The Jantar Mantar area in Delhi witnessed a piece of history when the successful cockroach janta party movement was able to get education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resign from position. However, this is not the end of the protest as the CJP has publicly announced that they would resume the protest if the Police do not lift the FIRs that were filed against students who were protesting. Considering the impact of the earlier protest, it should be too much for Delhi Police, and also the Indian government to take another protest from the CJP. So they have started to take evasive action already.
