New cardiac hospital begins operations in Coimbatore

A new 100-bed cardiac and critical care facility, Avera Heart Hospital, has opened in Coimbatore. The hospital features advanced medical technology, including AI-integrated imaging, and is staffed by experienced cardiac specialists.

Avera Heart Hospital, a 100-bed cardiac and critical care hospital, was inaugurated in Coimbatore on October 4 by Bannari Amman Group Chairman S.V. Balasubramaniam.
The hospital has two catheterisation laboratories, two modular operation theatres, an 18-bed Coronary Care Unit, a 16-bed cardiothoracic post-operative unit and a cardiac CT with AI-integrated imaging.
It will offer cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, intensive care, emergency medicine, radiology and pulmonology, besides nephrology, neurology, endocrinology, general medicine and dermatology. Pharmacy and ambulance services will be available round the clock.
