New bus services between Sivakasi bus stand and railway station introduced

Minister for Industries S. Keerthana inaugurated new bus services connecting the Sivakasi bus stand to the local railway station and government hospital. The initiative aims to reduce travel costs for residents who previously relied on private transport.

Minister for Industries S. Keerthana on Thursday flagged off bus services from Sivakasi Bus Stand to Sivakasi Railway Station.
The new bus services was inaugurated in the presence of Virudhunagar Collector N. O. Sukhaputra.
The Minister said that long-felt demand of the people of the city to have bus services to Sivakasi Railway station and Government hospital has been fulfilled now.
Otherwise, the passengers were dependent on autorickshaws, two-wheelers and other private vehicles that led to additional expenditure.
Ten trips would be operated on this new route in a day, she added.
